Schema Story Procedures

bullet

After selecting the story physically cut or separate into sections long enough to contain at least one main idea.

bullet

Each section of the text is distributed to a small group of students (5 to 8).

bullet

A student is selected in each group to read the text aloud to the group.

bullet

The teacher then invites the group that thinks it has the beginning of the story to come forward.

bullet

The group must state why it has the requested part of the story.

bullet

The process is continued until all the segments of the story have been placed in order.
