Topics:  Function algebras, Banach algebras, spaces and algebras of analytic functions, Lp spaces, geometry of Banach spaces, isometries of function spaces, and related problems.

Time:   The lectures will commence on Tuesday morning, May 16, 2006 in the main auditorium of the Science Building and finish on Saturday afternoon May 20, 2006.

The average mid day temperature during that time is 24C (75F).

Parking: The participants may get a free parking sticker in the lobby of the Bluff Hall to park behind that dorm.

Registration deadline:  April 1, 2006 (early registration will be greatly appreciated)

SIUE is located in Edwardsville in the suburbs of St. Louis, 25 miles east from the Lambert International Airport.

The Fifth Conference on Function Spaces at SIUE will be followed by another (separate) conference on Banach spaces and their applications in Analysis in honor of Nigel Kalton's 60th birthday at the Miami University in Ohio on May 22-27, 2006: http://www.users.muohio.edu/randrib/bsaa2006.html.
