General tuition and fees will vary dependent upon a student's residency status (in-state versus out-of-state) and matriculation status (both undergraduate versus graduate, as well as continuing student versus new student).

A Web-Based Course Fee will be applied to internet-based courses for students taking no on-campus courses. Students enrolled in any internet-based course along with other SIUE on-campus courses will pay regular on-campus student fees for all courses, including the Web-based course or courses.

In addition, some academic programs and/or individual courses may have additional fees associated with them.

University fees are mandatory for all students and require payment regardless of whether or not the student receives direct benefits or is in a location that permits access to such benefits.
