Spring 2000 – Each instructor received NADE Self-Evaluation Guides for “Developmental Coursework Programs” and for “Program Factors Influencing the Teaching/Learning Process” and completed individually  (available through NADE web site: www.nade.net or through H & H Publishing: www.hhpublishing.com).

Summer 2000 – Retreat at Pere Marquette State Park to summarize individual responses and develop plan of action

October 2000 – Retreat at Birger Hall on SIUE campus to continue discussion and planning

March 2001 – Certification training at NADE, Louisville, by Terri Reed and Rhonda Vonnahmen, Instructional Services staff members

Summer 2001 – Decision to seek NADE certification

April 2002 – Preliminary Application submitted

November 2002 – Preliminary Application approved

2001-2003 – Data collection and review, narrative development and review

March 2003 – Certification training and Reviewer training at NADE, Austin, by Karen Patty-Graham

Spring 2003 - Instructional Services Area Heads complete NADE Self-Evaluation Guides for “Developmental Coursework Programs” and review with content area colleagues; proofreading of application

Summer 2003 – Retreat at Woodland Hall on SIUE campus for staff to review all 15 sections and action plan

August 15, 2003 – Application submitted for Advanced Certification of Developmental Coursework Program

March 2004 – NADE Advanced Level Certification granted for Developmental Coursework Program in Instructional Services at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
