Use of the products under the Microsoft Campus Agreement must be in accordance with the license rules provided below:

The Microsoft products available include:

  • Windows XP

Application Software:

  • Office Pro 2000 for Windows (Access, Binder, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word)
  • Office XP Pro for Windows (Access, Binder, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word)

Note: Other versions of Windows operating systems and applications are available if required for successful set up of a system. Call the OIT Customer Support Center at x3739 for additional information.

Those interested in any of the above products should first make certain that their University-owned or leased computer meets the minimum hardware requirements to run the operating system and/or software. The minimum recommended requirements include:

Pentium 4 processor or equivalent
256 MB of RAM
20 GB hard drive

Machines that do not meet these minimum requirements may still be able to handle some of the software. OIT Customer Support Center can discuss the pros and cons of using these products on machines that do not meet the minimum recommended requirements.

For any University-owned or leased computer, OIT will install new software and/or upgrade existing software products to a more recent licensed version, at no charge. A service requisition must be submitted to OIT at Box 1068 in order for this service to take place.

If your University department would like a copy of the software for use on University-owned or leased computers, please do the following. Your request may take up to five business days to process.

  1. Submit a service requisition to OIT at Box 1068, along with the media (CD-R Compact Disc Recordable) and jewel cases for the number of CD’s required, (see list below). The CD-R must be 650MB/74MIN and 4X speed. Preferred brands are 3M, Memorex, and Maxell. CD-R can be purchased through Boise Cascade, at Office Max, and at various other suppliers.
