SIUENET Eligibility & ActivationEligibility:An SIUENET account is available to all students enrolled in the current semester; to current employees; and to retired employees.Continued use of an account is dependent
upon the user's compliance with all of the rules and laws governing that
usage. See Information Technology Policies
for specific information on this subject.
Activation:Activation of your SIUENET account is done through the e-ID (electronic identification) web site: Select the first option, "I want to get an e-ID" and follow the instructions. Assuming you have met all eligibility requirements, an e-ID will be created, and a password generated, Once your e-ID is created, a postcard with a key code will be generated and mailed to you. Within 14 days of receipt of that e-ID, you will need to return to the e-ID web site and select "I received my postcard with my key code and I need to preserve my e-ID". Failure to preserve your e-ID will result in its closure. Effective July 1, 2006, all SIUEnet passwords must be changed every 60 days. You may change the password associated with your e-ID through the e-ID web site.
