Guidelines for Authors

  All manscripts must be in acceptable form and ready for 
  review.  Contributions to GEOGRAPHY ONLINE should 
  conform to the general guidelines noted below:

  1. The manuscript should be provided in both paper and 
     electronic formats.
	Paper
	    Three copies.
	    Doubled spaced.
	    Single sided.
	    1 inch margins.
	Electronic
	    Floppy or ZIP disk.
	    IBM - Word or Word Perfect.
            MAC - ClarisWorks.
	    All text single spaced.

  2. References should be listed on separate pages.
	    Alphabetical order by author.
            Follow recognized style such as 'Turabian'.
            Avoid footnotes.

  3. Tables and figures must be on separate pages.
            Provide tables and figures as .gif or .jpg 
		image files.

  4. All tables, drawings, and graphics must be in 
	finished form.
	    Include titles and figure/table numbers.

  5. Abstract of no more than 150 words.
            Provide as separate file in electronic 
		format.
            Provide up to 6 keywords.

  6. We suggest that student manuscripts be reviewed
	by a faculty member before submission.
	   Proofread manuscript thoroughly.
