About Travis: I am currently working with a GIS/data
conversion firm by the name of AverStar, Inc. located in Portland, OR. I have
been
employed with AverStar for about 4 and 1/2 years. My present
position is GIS Project Manager.
AverStar is a prime contractor for the USGS, USDA Forest Service (GTSC), National Cancer Institute, and State of Texas (StratMap). AverStar specializes in data acquisition, database development and GIS. Product specialties for its' customers include 10M and 30M resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Drainage Enforced DEMs (DE-DEM), and Digital Line Graphs (DLG).
AverStar utilizes several software programs for data production and development purposes, including LT4X (proprietary), Delta3D (proprietary), Arc/Info and ArcView.
My primary areas of responsibility for AverStar's Portland GIS facility are as follows:
