UC Irvine
This well-organized library page offers all different kinds of ways to search for what you are interested in. Do not miss the Critical Theory Resource Page which is a browsable and searchable archive of scholarly bibliographies.

Northwestern
With their WWW page you can access the libraries many collections including the Siege and Commune collection. This WWW page contains links to over 1200 digitized photographs and images recorded during the Siege and Commune of Paris cir.1871.In addition to the images in this set, the Library's Siege ∓ Commune Collection contains 1500 caricatures, 68 newspapers in hard-copy and film, hundreds of books and pamphlets and about 1000 posters. Additions are made regularly. The originals are located in Special Collections in the Deering Library at Northwestern University.

Newberry
This is the Number 1 French bookstore on the WWW. They offer editions, Michelin Guides, summaries of new books as well as CDs. You can order the items that you want or have them sent to someone else as a gift. You will also find here a French literary forum, sort of like a newgroup, where people publish manuscripts or poems or just discuss literature.

Project for American and French Research on the Treasury of the French Language. This site offers information on the ARTFL project and includes some electronic texts.

Electronic Texts
Many texts are actually available to be read on the Internet. This becomes useful if you do not have a copy available, if you just need to check a quotation, or if you would like your students to read something, but you do not want to require them to buy the book. The Agence de Coopration Culturelle et Technique is the governmental agency on francophonie. Their site offers links to other francophone pages as well as information on francophone countries.
