GENERAL GUIDELINES
All proposals must be prepared according to the guidelines set forth below. Proposals which do not conform to the restrictions and guidelines will not be reviewed. The following general guidelines have been established:

  • The project must be clearly related to the education of undergraduate students.
  • Construction and renovation projects will not be supported.
  • Requests for computer labs will generally not be funded by EUE. Exceptions to this rule may be granted for Project Directors with external grants that require University matching funds. Funding for computer labs should be pursued through requests to the Academic Computing Council or OIT.
  • Proposals involving the purchase, for students, of meals or tickets for travel, performances, or any other item that students would normally pay for by themselves, require cost-sharing from the students.

At various times, the Faculty Development Council makes changes to the program guidelines during a particular year. A PDF file that chronicles changes made to proposal guidelines in previous years is available at this link. The Current Guidelines link on the left side of this page will provide guidelines for the current year. Guidelines for the 2014 program will be released during the Fall semester.

AWARD ACCEPTANCE
Upon notification of the award, recipients will be informed of any conditions of the award and will be provided additional information on project management (re-budgeting, Final Report, etc.). Each recipient must agree to follow EUE reporting procedures before the project can be initiated.
