Scene 1: She Walked Into an Old Hotel Room
She exclaimed to the dust
hiding from her
wrath in the dark corner
beneath the
ripped couch
fainting
by the far wall,
that she will never be the same.
Aimlessly walking into the
restless rest room
her eye joined with
a tarnished faucet and she told him
that he and her heart
were companions,
both
witnesses to a crime
committed
against the old and well used.
She looked up and her eyes
fell from the ceiling and rolled over
to the faucet again.
A narrative voice broke in and said:
"Her heart is like a 1920's faucet,
Crusted over with lime,
Unusable,
Corroded with ugly,
Stopped from all use,
But still a necessary thing
For a bathroom."
Then a sunset flew by
And the scene changed again.
