Possibility Bread
Dough needs hands
Like rope wants to be knotted.
Frayed ends brush the dough,
Tickle the form,
Knots beat and change it.
Shape squeezes through fingers
Rolled in a ball or pressed flat.
Tied hands cannot shape or knead.
Bread needs yeast to rise.
Bake it just right,
Eat it hot. Because mold grows
in forgotten loaves.
