Experience and Background:
Dr. Karacal has experience in industry, academia and consulting.  Before joining SIUE, he worked at the Rochester Institute of Technology as a faculty member and Computer Integrated Manufacturing System as a project coordinator for RIT's integrated circuit factory.  He is the faculty advisor for the SIUE chapter of IIE.
