Experience
and Background:
Dr. Gu came to SIUE
in 1990. In 1989-90, he served as Research Associate at the Center
for Robotics and Advanced Automation at Oakland University in Michigan.
Throughout his career, Dr. Gu has consulted for local industry in control
system design, modeling of internal combustion engines and generators,
structure analysis and dynamic analysis. He has served on the editorial
board of many publications and conferences, as well as on numerous program
committees. He has also served as a referee for about 30 technical
journals, conferences and funding agencies in the area of dynamical systems
and control, applied mechanics and applied mathematics.
