SIUE Proposed Objectives for B. S. in Mechanical Engineering Program

Program Educational Objectives:

The Mechanical Engineering Program seeks to provide education so that the graduates

1. are well prepared in technical knowledge, skills, and awareness of current practice to become effective mechanical engineers or to pursue advanced studies.
2. possess ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
3. understand the economical, societal and environmental impact and ethical and professional responsibilities of a mechanical engineer.
4. recognize the need for and possess the ability to engage in life-long learning.
