On April 23, 2004, thirteen SIUE mechanical engineering students were inducted into the membership of the Pi-Tau-Sigma honor society. The nominees were selected based on their academic performance. In addition to the Dean of Engineering and ME Chair, the parents and spouses of the nominees were present in the ceremony. This is the second year that the ME department is having such a ceremony for Pi-Tau-Sigma.
