Biography
Dr. Hubbard holds a B.S. - Aerospace Engineering, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering Management, specializing in Manufacturing Engineering, all from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is also an SME Certified Manufacturing Engineer. Dr. Hubbard has performed research projects for companies and organizations including:

  • McDonnell Douglas Aerospace
  • The Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center/NIST
  • The Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council
  • Avatar, Inc.
  • Midwest Products, Inc.
  • USA Vacuum, Inc.
  • The Sultanate of Oman
  • The United States Army
  • Union Electric/Callaway Nuclear Plant

Before joining SIUE, Dr. Hubbard was an assistant professor at the University of Missouri-Rolla, where he also served as the Computer Integrated Manufacturing Laboratory Director. Dr. Hubbard also helped to launch a new Department of Engineering at Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he served as the Department Chair. Dr. Hubbard also serves as the faculty advisor to the SIUE student chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
