Transfer Notes:
1.
Completion of the transfer program outlined above with
grades of at least C in all courses will fulfill the lower-division course
requirements needed for admission to upper-division engineering courses at
SIUE. If course substitutions are made
or some courses are not completed, the transfer student may be required to
complete some lower-division courses at SIUE before being admitted to junior
level engineering courses.
2.
To be eligible to begin upper-division engineering
courses, the appropriate departmental Admissions Committee must approve a
student's application for admission to upper-division engineering courses. The application and transcript should be
submitted to the associate dean of engineering or mailed to:
Associate Dean of Engineering
SIUE - Campus
3.
The normal entry into upper-division engineering
programs at SIUE is in the Fall Semester.
To have a smooth transfer, applications for admission to one of the
upper-programs should be submitted to the
4.
The upper-division curriculum schedules given here
apply to a student who has completed the A.S. or A.A. degree program at
L&CCC. If the A.S. or A.A. degree is
not obtained, additional general education courses may be required at SIUE.
5.
For a baccalaureate degree from SIUE, a minimum of 60
semester hours must be earned at a four-year college or university, and at
least 30 of those hours must be earned at SIUE.
6.
Cooperative Education and Training (Professional
Experience Program) at SIUE provides computer science, construction, and
engineering students with the opportunity to work in industry and gain valuable
professional experience along with needed revenue while completing their
degree. All School of Engineering
students are encouraged to explore the advantages available through this
program.
