
These detailed grading rubrics, which list performance standards in five areas, are intended to provide faculty with a clear set of standards and expectations for student writing. These rubrics are intended to supplement the "Grading Standards and Course Grades" section of the Student Handbook as well as the section "Grading Essays" in the online Faculty Handbook. In addition, faculty should consult the online Handbook for detailed discussions of the various aspects of essay writing which students are expected to master.
