These rubrics are intended to supplement the "Grading Standards and Course Grades" section of the Student Handbook as well as the section "Grading Essays" in the online Faculty Handbook. In addition, faculty should consult the online Handbook for detailed discussions of the various aspects of essay writing which students are expected to master.
