Full-time faculty teach approximately 80 percent of the
student credit hours at SIUE. Tenured or tenure track faculty teach 56 percent
of these credit hours; part-time faculty teach about 22 percent. Graduate
assistants approximately two percent.
In fall 2003, 82 percent of the full-time instructional
faculty had the appropriate terminal degree for their discipline and held the
following academic ranks:
