SIUE Opens Belleville Satellite Program in

Educational Administration

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is pleased to announce the opening of a new Belleville Satellite Program in Educational Administration at Whiteside Middle School . Classes are designed for students seeking master’s or specialist degrees in Educational Administration or certification only . All coursework will lead to an Illinois Type 75 certificate.

Beginning in Fall 2006, two courses will be offered each semester on the Whiteside campus. One course will be held on Tuesday evenings; the other will meet on four weekends during the semester. Students who take two courses each term and a full summer load will be able to complete a master’s degree in two years. A majority of courses will be taught by full-time faculty members who are experienced school administrators.

Students who do not currently hold the master’s should plan to take two prerequisite courses during Summer 2006 . Both courses--EPFR 501-502 “Research Methods” and EPRD 521-501 “Analysis of Educational Issues: Socio-Cultural Foundations”--will be offered at Belleville locations. Call now for application materials.

Students who hold a master’s degree should plan to begin coursework in Fall 2006 at Whiteside Middle School . Call now for application materials.
