Learning and Non-Credit Activities
These activities, designed for adults of all ages, are meant to provide you with opportunities for personal and professional continuing enrichment and leisure-time learning. These activities operate on a cost-recovery basis and are supported by nominal registration fees only. As a public service activity of the University, leisure learning activities are open to adults and teenagers, 16 years of age and older, throughout southwestern Illinois and the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be a student, alumni, or employee of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to enroll! Learning Inclement Weather Policy
GENERAL INFORMATION Who May Enroll: As a public service activity of the University, leisure learning activities are open to adults and teenagers, 16 years of age and older, throughout southwestern Illinois and the St. Louis Metropolitan Area. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be a student, alumni, or employee of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to enroll! Parking: These permits will allow you to park in lots 1, 2, 3, A, E, or F while the noncredit activity is in session. The permits are available for $10 and must be purchased prior to the first class session. Parking is also available at parking meters which are available around the perimeter of Lots A, C, E and F. Please inform the Office of Educational Outreach at the time of your registration if you need a special parking permit. Please Register EARLY! Classes will be canceled if insufficient registration occurs. You can help us insure that the class in which you are interested will be held by registering early! Registration at the first class meeting is permitted if space is available, or if the class has not been canceled due to insufficient enrollment. Give the Gift of Lifetime Learning: You may choose to give someone the gift of learning this upcoming holiday season. For a gift certificate for a gift that lasts forever, please call the Coordinator of Noncredit Activities in the Office of Educational Outreach at 618/650-3209. Payment is Required: Payment is required at time of
registration. Payment should be made by check, charge or cash in exact
change. The person registering the class will not have change. To avoid
disappointment and/or inconvenience, please preregister. Five Easy Ways to Register: By Mail: Complete the registration form located on the back page of this brochure and mail, with payment, to the Office of Educational Outreach, Box 1084, SIUE, Edwardsville, IL 62026-1084. By FAX: Fax us your registration form. Please include your VISA, MasterCard or Discover information and complete all sections on the form. Our FAX number is (618) 650-2629. form CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: The Office of Educational Outreach reserves the right to cancel or postpone activities and substitute qualified instructors when nessary. If we cancel an activity for any reason, you may select another activity or receive a FULL refund. An attempt will be made to notify you by phone when it is necessary to cancel an activity. If you cancel no later than three (3) business days prior to the activity start date, you are eligible for a full refund or you may select to have your registration fee transferred to another activity.
