Before embarking on a career in economics, Dr. Jones earned master's
degrees in public administration from Cornell University and in
political science from the University of California at Berkeley.
He also served as a Tax Fellow in the United States Senate. Before
coming to SIUE, he taught at the University of San Diego and California
State University, San Marcos.
Dr. Jones teaches introductory and intermediate macroeconomics.
Currently, he is studying the impact of different kinds of monetary
policy shocks on the economies of the United States and other countries.
His research interests include monetary economics, macroeconomics
and business cycle theory.
