Prior to joining the SIUE faculty, Ms. Unverzagt
worked in the banking industry for five years. She was an Advanced
Bookkeeper for Liberty Bank in Alton, IL from 1999 to 2000. She
reconciled the bank’s general ledger accounts and prepared
the bank’s financial reports which included the Income Statement,
Balance Sheet, the quarterly Call Report, the Liquidity Report,
and the Selected Bank Ratios report. In addition to the financial
reports, Ms.Unverzagt repaired minor software and computer problems,
dealt with the bank’s correspondent banks and its pledged
securities, and helped to support the bank’s marketing efforts
by designing promotional advertisements on products and services
that the bank offered.
Before working for Liberty Bank, Ms. Unverzagt
worked for Carrollton Bank from 1997 to 1999 as a Customer Service
Representative. In this capacity, she opened new accounts, trained
new employees, worked with loan transactions, and contributed to
the bank’s conversion to a new processing system. She also
worked for the Bank of Alton from 1995 to 1997 as a Customer Service
Representative.
Ms. Unverzagt has experience in Oracle, Powerbuilder,
C++, and SQL. Her background with Microsoft Office products, the
Internet, Email, Windows environment, and a Macintosh operating
system are very extensive.
