Masters Degree Program

 

DEPARTMENTAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRY INTO THE PROFESSIONAL SCIENCES MASTERS PROGRAM

 

  1. You must have submitted your application to the Graduate School.  The application can be accessed through the SIUE Graduate School Web Page (www.siue.edu/GRADUATE/)
  2. Acceptance by the Biotechnology Management Committee with their written notification directed to the Biology Dept. secretary.

 

The following requirements (#3-#6) should be sent to:

3.   A letter/statement outlining your goals and interests.

4.   A minimum of two letters of recommendation (preferably from your instructors)

5.   Graduate Record Examination scores.  We require scores on the General (Quantitative, Verbal, and Analytical) portions.  If you have not taken this, applications and information about this exam can be obtained from:

  6.   Teaching or Research Assistantship.  Complete and submit a TA/RA application (available from the Biology Department).  If you do not wish an assistantship, please fill out the top portion, write ”DECLINED”, indicate the reason, and sign and date the form.
