SIUE Plays Host to Three GLVC Matches
Home sweet home.
The SIUE women’s tennis team will play host to Quincy, Northern Kentucky and Bellarmine this week in Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s tennis.
SIUE enters the week with a 3-2 record. Its losses came against Southern Indiana and Lewis in 5-4 decisions.
“We could very well be 5-0,” Coach Bill Logan said. “The success is we are doing well in doubles.”
Gina Wohltman (Effingham) and Lisa Warner (Arlington Hts.) each have perfect 5-0 records on the season at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively. Laura Zeeb (Greenville) has a 4-1 record at No. 3 singles.
In doubles action, Zeeb and Warner have posted a 5-0 record.
“I’m not terribly worried about a player’s record,” Logan said. “We live and die as a team.”
