Women’s Tennis Opens Wednesday
The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women’s tennis season will get underway Wednesday when it hosts Greenville at 3:30 p.m. at the SIUE Tennis Courts.
The Cougars then open their Great Lakes Valley Conference schedule on Saturday with trips to Southern Indiana and Kentucky Wesleyan.
Coryn Reich (Newton) returns to the team, along with Allison Coats (Belleville), Gina Wohltman (Effingham) and Chrissy Yingst (Belleville). Laura Zeeb (Greenville), an All-GLVC selection two seasons ago, also returns after one season away from the tennis courts while she completed an academic internship.
Four newcomers join the team that went 9-5 last season and finished 6-3 in the GLVC.
