Mulherin, Stanley Named All-GLVC
Kim Mulherin (Belleville) and Amber Stanley
(Effingham) were named today to the 2000 Great Lakes Valley All-Conference
women's tennis team.
Mulherin and Stanley were the No. 1 and No. 2 players during the
conference season as SIUE finished fourth at the recent GLVC
Championships.
Northern Kentucky University junior Jamie O'Hara was named GLVC "Player of
the Year" for the third straight season and NKU first-year coach J. Webb
Horton was named "Coach of the Year" as the Norse tennis team captured its
third straight conference championship at last weekend's GLVC
Championships.
Gayal Jones of the University of Indianapolis was named "Freshman of the
Year."
In all, NKU had four players named All Conference, while Southern Indiana,
Indianapolis and SIU Edwardsville each had two players named to the squad.
