Women’s Tennis Opens
GLVC Play
The SIUE women’s tennis team begins its 2000 season on the road
this weekend against two Great Lakes Valley Conference opponents.
The Cougars travel to Louisville, Ky. to face Bellarmine on Friday
at 3 p.m. SIUE then takes on defending GLVC champions Northern Kentucky on
Saturday morning at 9 in Highland Heights, Ky.
SIUE is led by senior Kim Mulherin (Belleville), who was named to
the All-GLVC team. Mulherin was 13-9 overall and 8-1 in the conference in
singles competition last season.
The Cougars finished last season 14-9 overall and 8-2 in the GLVC.
