Women’s Tennis Set For GLVC Tournament
The Cougars are primed to host the Great Lakes Valley Conference
Championships this weekend.
The Cougars, 7-2 in the GLVC and the No. 3 seed, face the No. 6
seed Bellarmine at 11 a.m. at Gordon Moore Park. The last match on Friday
begins at 5 p.m. at both sites. Play resumes Saturday morning at 9 a.m.
with the championship match at noon at Gordon Moore Park. The full
schedule is listed below.
Amber Stanley (Effingham) was the lone Cougar to make it to the
third round of the ITA Midwest Regionals this past weekend in
Indianapolis. She finished the regular season with a 6-2 record while
playing at the No. 2 spot.
No. 1 singles player, Kim Mulherin (Belleville), enters the
weekend with a 5-2 mark. Laura Zeeb (Greenville) and Coryn Reich (Newton)
enter the tournament with singles records of 5-2 and 6-1, respectively.
