March 11, 2008 Astrauskas Named Regional Coach of the Year           EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's track and field coach David Astrauskas has been named the Great Lakes Regional Coach of the Year for the indoor season.           Astrauskas was honored by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.           The Cougars recently scored 270 points in winning the Great Lakes Valley Conference crown for the fifth straight year. SIUE nearly tripled its nearest competition at the meet.           Deserea Brown (Flossmoor) leads a group of nine competitors from SIUE headed to the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships in Mankato, Minn., on March 14-15. Brown will compete in four events for the Cougars, including the long jump, 400 meters, 60-meter hurdles and the 1,600-meter relay.                   -siue cougars-
