July 11, 2007 SIUE Women's Track and Field Earns Academic Honor         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's track team has been honored by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for its academic achievement.         The SIUE women's team was among 44 NCAA Division II institutions with a team grade point average of better than 3.0.         Alicia DeShasier (Carrollton), of the SIUE women's team, and Blake Marcum (Centralia) and Kyle Cameron (East Moline), of the SIUE men's team, were named All-Academic by the USTFCCCA. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, an individual athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher and must have met an NCAA Division II national qualifying standard in any event.         -siue cougars-
