20 Questions for Tairisha Sawyer 20 Questions: Favorite Food: Calamari and Chicken Favorite Edwardsville restaurant: Unfortunately, there's no Harold's Chicken so I'll have to say McDonald's :-) Favorite TV Show: America's Next Top Model and Law & Order Favorite Movie: I don't have one favorite movie but I do love mafia movies like Goodfellas and Carlito's Way Favorite Actor/Actress: Denzel Washington and Halle Berry If a movie were made about you, which actor would you want to play the part of you? Jada Pinkett (her personality is similiar to mine. She's a very outgoing and strong individual) Favorite Musical Group/Singer: Jay-Z (the greatest rapper alive) and Notorious B.I.G. (the late great rapper) Favorite Sport Other than Track and Field: I enjoy watching Basketball although I can't play. What is your major and why? Business Marketing. I want to start my own marketing firm that focuses on event coordination and promotions. I love putting on events (like the annual fashion show) and seeing how they turn out once it's all over...especially the stressful part. Favorite Place on Campus: My room. I have a single in Cougar Village. It's where I get most of my good thinking and studying done. Something the average person doesn't know about me: Most people don't know I write poetry. If you had to give up all your possessions but one, what would you keep? My sidekick, it's a mobile phone that does everything. If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why? Bill Gates because I want to see what all of the hype is about and besides...he's rich! Who has influenced you the most in your life? My parents and my coaches Name three people, (dead or alive) that you would like to have dinner with: Jesus, Jay-Z, and Donald Trump Why did you choose to come to SIUE? My coach, future teammates and the dorms were better than most. How different are practices at SIUE compared to your high school? TOTALLY different. Practices were much easier and less intense. Do you have any superstitions before competing? Yes but I won't tell you :-) Which teammate is most likely to be a head coach one day? Val-Pal The best things about SIUE track and field are: It's a quote I found on a teammates Facebook page..."Somewhere behind the athlete you've become, the hours of practice,the coaches who pushed you, the teammates that believed in you, and the fans who cheered for you, is the little girl who fell in love with running and never looked back. Run for her." Track is a sport you just love...sometimes just because. |
