Nursing, I wanna help people and also my mother is a nurse Favorite Place on Campus: Cougar Village Commons, you can get food, your mail, wash your clothes, study, and you can get on the computer Something the average person doesn't know about me: That I went to Romania to train for gymnastics. When I got back I felt like the Pope I wanted to kiss the ground If you had to give up all your possessions but one, what would you keep? Hard to say...... I think that I would go with I POD If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why? OPRAH, I WANNA BE RICH!!!!!!!!!!!!!, She is a very intelligent woman, she has contributed a lot to African American Funding, she bought Coretta Scott King's home, and there is a lot of very intresting things that she has done and contributed to that has made a diffrence. Who has influenced you the most in your life? In school my mother and my Coach Ben Beyers, in sports my father and my high school track Dorothea Franklin Name three people, (dead or alive) that you would like to have dinner with: My father’s father, which is my grandfather (I never had the oppertunity to meet him), Florence Griffith Joyner aka FloJO, and Martin Luther King Junior, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have the opportunity to even be on this website. Why did you choose to come to SIUE? A very long story, but to make it short... My coach (Ben) was the only person that always stood behind me from the time that he first tried to recruit me, he went through a lot to get me here. And also this school has a very good nursing school. How different are practices at SIUE compared to your high school? Totally diffrent I didn't nearly work this hard in High School. If you ask me I HATE PRACTICE, but it is a small price to pay to one day be standing on the top of the awards stand, and have my coach present me with my national title. Do you have any superstitions before competing? There are certain things that I have to say to myself in my head every single time before I take a jump, in Long and Triple Jump. They are words of motivation to me Which teammate is most likely to be a head coach one day? Jonathan Bannister The best things about SIUE track and field are: The teamates, I feel that we have a very good team unity my teammates encourage me on and off of the track. |
