Elementary Education, I want to help educate and inspire the young minds of children. Favorite Place on Campus: Not Starbuck's!!! Foreign language lab. Something the average person doesn't know about me: My dad donated part of his liver to my brother when he was nine months old to save his life. If you had to give up all your possessions but one, what would you keep? I would keep my car. It is my first major purchase and I love it! If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would it be and why? Jada Pinkett-Smith, her husband is beyond gorgeous! Who has influenced you the most in your life? My father. Name three people, (dead or alive) that you would like to have dinner with: Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Bill Cosby Why did you choose to come to SIUE? I was given a second opportunity to compete in a sport that I love. Just when I was about to give up, one amazing coach expressed to me how much talent I had and that he had faith in my abilities to be a great athlete here at SIUE. How different are practices at SIUE compared to your high school? In college I work on more technical things (blocks, hand-offs). Also, in high school we wore spikes for nearly every workout which caused a lot of shin splint problems. Do you have any superstitions before competing? The most important day of rest is not the night before the competition, but two nights before the competition. I have to get at least eight hours of sleep this night. Which teammate is most likely to be a head coach one day? Jonathan Bannister. He is a great team leader and he works hard on and off the track. The best things about SIUE track and field are: Team unity. We all sweat, struggle, and succeed together |
