Track Heads To Indianapolis
It’s only been on the schedule for a little more than a week, but Coach Darryl Frerker is trying to give his men’s and women’s track teams some needed experience.
SIUE heads to Indianapolis, Ind., for the Canon IV Classic on Friday.
The Cougars had some impressive finishes at the Redbird All-Comers meet in Normal.
Tamekia Howard (Florissant, Mo.) placed second at 400 meters in 58.78 seconds. She also finished third at 200 meters.
Amanda Bozue (Joliet) took third at 3,000 meters in a time of 10:35.17.
Kevin Koller (Centralia) and Jeffrey Fearday (Teutopolis) placed second and third, respectively at 400 meters.
The 4 X 400-meter relay team also set a school record with its second-place finish in 3:23.32.
