Season Ends with 3-0 Loss
         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women' soccer team season ended Sunday with a 3-0 loss to Great Lakes Valley Conference champion Drury University.
         The Cougars were defeated in their first match of the NCAA Great Lakes Regional tournament. Mandi Little provided the eventual game-winner at 35:56 when a short cross in the box from Kelsy Long blew past SIUE goalkeeper Kim Roady. Aly Reynolds recorded a pair of goals for the Panthers in 57th minute and 72nd minute, the second scoring unassisted. Both were off SIUE goalkeeper Kaci Backs, who played in the second half.
         Despite have plenty of looks and opportunities, the Cougars were unable to find the back of the net. The Cougars had 12 shots for the match and were outshot just 13-12.
         Jessie Sanderson was solid in goal for the Panthers, capturing six saves Sunday. Sanderson has not allowed a goal in each of her last three games.
         Jenny Kates and Jennifer Kratzer led the Cougar efforts with three shots apiece. Kelly Limpert and Elizabeth Valenti each tallied two shots.
         SIUE's season ends with a 13-5-1 record. Drury, now 17-4-3 overall, advances to play top-ranked Grand Valley State in the Great Lakes Regional finals next week.
