September 7, 2007 Cougars Blank KWC          EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - With two first-half goals, the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's soccer team posted a 2-0 shutout Friday over Kentucky Wesleyan.          The successful Great Lakes Valley Conference opener for the Cougars lifted SIUE's overall record to 2-1-1.          Michele Martin scored her third goal of the season at 6:35 on an open goal from 10 yards out. Jenny Kates picked up the assist.          Martin earned an assist at 30:29 after Katie Yearian bust threw three defenders and scored past KWC goalkeeper Natalie McCaslin.          Kaci Backs and Kim Roady teamed up for the shutout in goal for the Cougars.                   -siue cougars-
