September 4, 2007 Cougars Begin GLVC Schedule          EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's soccer season shifts to Great Lakes Valley Conference play this week as the Cougars entertain Kentucky Wesleyan Friday.          Game time at Korte Stadium is 5 p.m. SIUE, 1-1-1, also faces Southern Indiana, 0-2, Sunday at noon.          SIUE Coach Lynda Bowers saw her team explode offensively for six goals against Ferris State and then manage just one goal against now No. 1-ranked Grand Valley State.          Michele Martin (Collinsville) scored twice in the Ferris State game. The Cougars picked up one goal each from Jenny Kates (Florissant, Mo.), Jennifer Kratzer (O'Fallon, Mo.), Kiara Akpore (Galesburg) and Correen Roark (Hazelwood, Mo.).          The Cougars fell to Grand Valley 5-1 as Ashley Davidson provided the lone score from the Cougars.          SIUE, picked to finish third in the GLVC this season, open with Kentucky Wesleyan, 0-2. The Panthers have won just three conference matches in the past five seasons.                   -siue cougars-
