September 2, 2007 Grand Valley Topples Cougars          ALLENDALE, Mich. - Second-ranked Grand Valley State's Katy Tafler scored four times Sunday to help the Lakers to a 5-1 women's soccer victory over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.          SIUE fell to 1-1-1 while the Lakers improved to 4-0.          Tafler scored 6:08 into the game, and Ashley Elsass also netted the ball at 9:07 as the Lakers jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead.          Grand Valley scored three more goals off SIUE goalkeeper Kaci Backs, all from the foot of Tafler. The Lakers outshot the Cougars 15-6.          Ashley Davidson kept the game from being a shut out when she scored unassisted at 67:37.          SIUE's next action is Friday at home against Kentucky Wesleyan in a 5 p.m. contest. It will be the opening game for the Cougars in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.                   -siue cougars-
