         INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - University of Southern Indiana sophomore forward Katie Grossman is named Great Lakes Valley Conference women’s soccer Player of the Week after the Screaming Eagles claimed a pair of conference wins over #23 UW-Parkside and Lewis University.
         Grossman scored the game winning goal in the Screaming Eagles victory over the Lewis Flyers on Friday. She also scored a goal in the USI victory over #23 UW-Parkside on Sunday. For the week, Grossman had a pair of goals for two points. The victories clinched a berth for USI in the GLVC Tournament for the first time since 2000.
         USI is tied for fifth in conference play with an 8-5 GLVC record and Grossman is USI’s third women’s soccer Player of the Week for the 2005 season.
         The Eagles start the GLVC Tournament on Sunday when they travel to Kansas City, Missouri, to take on the fourth-seeded Rockhurst University Hawks.
