SIUE Women's Golf Places Eighth
         BIG RAPIDS, MICH. - Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's golf placed eighth at its first tournament of the fall season.
         Julie Cline paced the Cougars with a 19th place finish. She shot a Cougar-best 76 in Sunday's second round.
         SIUE finished with a two-round team score of 665. Ferris State won the team title with a score of 616.
         SIUE newcomer Megan Hood opened her first collegiate event with 84-82 and tied for 35th.
         The Cougars continue down the road to Allendale, Mich., for the Grand Valley State Laker Invitational Monday and Tuesday.
