March 12, 2008 Shelton Adds All-Region Honors EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Amber Shelton added All-Great Lakes Region honors from Daktronics by a vote of the region's sports information directors. Shelton earned first team All-Region honors this year after collecting second team honors last season. She joined Hillsdale's Katie Cezat, Ferris State's Rachel Folcik, Quincy's Jessica Keller, and Drruy's Molly Carter on the first team. Shelton helped the Cougars to a 17-11 record this season and led the Great Lakes Valley Conference in scoring with a 21.5 scoring average. Shed led the Cougars in rebounding at 7.0 per game and steals with 61. In her two seasons as a Cougar, Shelton scored 1,165 points.
