No. 16 SIUE Rolls Against USI
         EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- The No. 16 Southern Illinois University Edwardsville volleyball team easily defeated the University of Southern Indiana 30-24, 30-26, 30-19 Saturday at the Vadalabene Center.
         Extending their winning streak to eight and pushing their record to 22-5 overall and 14-2 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play, the Cougars seem to be building momentum with playoffs around the corner. SIUE also has won all eight of its home matches.
         Leading the way for the Cougars was junior outside hitter Emily Rahn (Waukesha, Wis.) with 17 kills and 15 digs. Rahn picked up her 15th double-double for the season. Also chipping in offensively was Kelsey Hubert (Freeburg) and Mallory Clements (Mt. Pulaski). Hubert tossed in 10 kills while Clements added 40 assists to the offensive efforts.
         SIUE hit .236 for the match with 55 kills and 21 errors. The defense picked up 77 digs and 12 blocks.
         Southern Indiana was led by Molly Rahman with 10 kills.
         Next up for the Cougars is Quincy. The match is scheduled for Tuesday at 7 pm at Quincy.
