Two SIUE Volleyball Players
Tabbed AVCA All-Region
	Michelle Gilman, a senior from Springfield, and Lindsay Rust, a sophomore from 
Belleville, have been named All-Region by a vote of American Volleyball Coaches Association's 
Awards Committee.
	Gilman led SIUE with 4.44 kills per game, 1.22 blocks per game and a .317 hitting 
percentage. Gilman completed her collegiate career as a two-time All-Region selection, a 
two-time Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year and a three-time All-GLVC pick.
	Rust completed her first season in a Cougar uniform by posting 4.43 kills per game 
and a .212 hitting percentage. Rust led SIUE with 444 digs.
	As a team, SIUE ended the season with a 29-7 record and its first NCAA Tournament 
appearance. The Cougars upended No. 7 Northern Michigan in the first round only to fall later 
to GLVC rival Northern Kentucky.
	"I think they're very well deserving of the honor. They were a big reason for the 
success of this team," said SIUE Coach Sandy Montgomery.
