April 9, 2007 Cougars Struggle At Western          The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's tennis team finished the weekend 1-2 against three Division I opponents at Western Illinois.          The Cougars beat South Dakota State but lost to Chicago State and Western Illinois.          "The men competed well, we were in some matches and had some opportunities," said SIUE associate tennis coach Kyler Updyke.          SIUE beat SDS 5-1 with Thibaud Chevalier (Corcoue Sur Logne, France), Zach Allison (Edwardsville), Mike Jolly (Jacksonville), Nicolas Garrison (Edwardsville) and Eduardo DeLaCruz (Addison) all recoding wins.          SIUE's doubles teams were also undefeated against SDS.          "It was a good warm-up for this weekend," said Updyke.          The Cougars will play again Tuesday against the University of Southern Indiana at 2 p.m. in Evansville, Ind.                   -siue cougars-
