Warner and Free Named All-GLVC
Matt Warner (Arlington Hts.) and Justin Free (Danville) have been named All Great Lakes Valley Conference.
The SIUE men's tennis team closed out its season 10-9 overall placing fifth in the GLVC tournament held in West Lafayette, Ind.
Warner, a junior, ended the year with a 5-9 record at No. 1 singles. Free, a sophomore, finished the season with a 11-6 mark at No. 2 singles. The pair combined at No. 1 doubles with a 11-9 record.
Free collected two wins during the GLVC tournament, and Warner notched one as the Cougars fell to fourth-seeded Missouri-St. Louis 5-3 then defeated sixth-seeded Bellarmine 5-0.
