Bishop Top American at IAAF World Junior Championships
          BYDGOSZCZ, POLAND - Brian Bishop (Cantrall) finished as the top American during discus qualifying at the IAAF World Junior Championships.
          Bishop, a sophomore at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, placed 12th in his group and did not qualify for the finals. His throw of 51.22 meters bested fellow American Geoffrey Tabor, who threw 49.22 meters.
          "Even though it was the most nerve-racking experience of my life, it is about the most exciting thing I've ever done," Bishop said.
          The World Junior Championships continue through July 13.
