March 6, 2007 Astrauskas Wins Regional Coach of The Year Honors         EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. -- Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's track and field coach Dave Astrauskas earned Great Lakes Regional Coach of the Year honors.         Astrauskas led the Cougars to the Great Lakes Valley Conference indoor championships. SIUE finished 31.5 points ahead of its next closest competitor Lewis.         "I'm blessed to have a great staff here, and we do a good job of training our athletes, filling the events. We have had some success this year," said Astrauskas.         Astrauskas is proud of the honor but believes it is more of a coaching staff award because of the big contributions the assistant coaches make.         "Throughout the year, Coach Ben Beyers and Coach Eileen McAllister have done a great job of training and preparing their athletes," said Astrauskas.                 -siue cougars-
