May 22, 2006 Astrauskas Named Regional Coach of the Year Southern Illinois University Edwardsville men's track and field coach David Astrauskas has been honored as the Great Lakes Regional track and field Coach of the Year by a vote of his peers. He will be honored at a dinner preceding the NCAA Championships in Emporia, Kan. The Cougars were the indoor and outdoors champions of the Great Lakes Valley Conference this past season. Six Cougars qualified for the NCAA Championships. -siue cougars- |
